On July 6, 2022, Dmitry Medvedev, a former Russian president, gave a terrible warning to the West.
He thinks the West’s anti-Russian efforts might cause tensions with Russia to escalate to a nuclear level.
After all, according to data from the Federation of American Scholars, Moscow has the world’s greatest nuclear arsenal, with 5,977 nuclear warheads in its armory.

“It is ludicrous to penalize a nation with one of the highest nuclear potentials. It maybe presents a threat to humankind’s continued survival,” Medvedev said on Telegram.
Medvedev is now the Security Council representative for Russia.
In the early phases of Russia’s special military campaign, Medvedev warned that the world would be headed toward a nuclear “dystopia” if the US and its allies destabilized Moscow in the same way they did in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Biden administration so far fueled a regional conflict in Ukraine by sending massive amounts of military aid into that country in an effort to starve Russia dry.
Medvedev slammed the US for its dishonest posturing in international affairs in the same chat message, particularly, the US’ demands that Russia is tried for allegedly committing crimes in Ukraine.
The previous Russian leader made reference to US military operations that cost millions of lives in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, as well as Vietnam.

“Who will conduct a “show trial” for us? Whom do the international institutions they fund truly criticize when they slaughter people and conduct crimes against humanity?”
This was asked according to a translated version of the Telegram post Medvedev made.
Medvedev presided over Russia as president from 2008 until 2012. Although Medvedev was usually seen as being more pro-western than his adversary, Vladimir Putin, Putin pursued the objective of constructing a state.
During the Russo-Georgian War of 2008, he contentiously supervised Russia’s retaliatory military operation against Georgia, which put Georgia’s chances of joining NATO on hold.
Russian War Crimes

In the end, Ukraine has no significant national interests at risk. A terrible struggle that Ukraine is sure to lose will only be prolonged by the US’s ongoing military assistance.
These escalations will also lead Russia to demand increasingly stricter capitulation conditions, which may culminate in the total collapse of the Ukrainian state.
