Trump About to End Mystery Surrounding Potential 2024 White House Run

President Trump is going to end the mystery surrounding his potential candidacy for the presidency in 2024.

He is going to do that as early as this month, almost certainly announcing he is running again, according to reports.

Theories Abound DeSantis May Challenge Him

Trump has never gotten over lingering doubts about the fairness of the 2020 presidential election.

Over the past year-and-a-half, Trump has been maintaining adamantly that his second term in the White House was stolen by the Democrats with election fraud.

At the same time, he has been hinting very strongly that he is going to seek another White House term in the 2024 election.

Trump, however, was abstaining from formally announcing his candidacy in order to avoid triggering electoral campaign rules on media presence and campaign fundraising.

This would have put him at a disadvantage so early on, in comparison with other potential candidates.

While Trump sounded truly confident in clinching the GOP presidential nomination, in recent weeks, there has been lots of activity and coverage indicating that Florida’s popular Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, may be successful at grabbing the nomination himself.

At the same time, in recent comments, Trump hinted he could have DeSantis as his vice-presidential candidate.

Trump Now Far More ‘Committed’ to Making It Official

76-year-old Trump is likely set to announce his 2024 election bid as early as July, according to reports by The New York Times and CNN.

In a report on Friday, the New York Times claimed Trump is going to make his 2024 presidential bid official to “distract” Americans from hearings on January 6, 2021 events at the US Capitol.

The paper noted candidates usually announce their presidential bids the year before the respective presidential election. This is in order to keep time shorter for being exposed to political attacks from their rivals.

The NYT report alleged Trump is nervous about the fact DeSantis is getting more national attention and Republican praise.

However, this isn’t the first time the mainstream media sought to cause a conflict between Trump and DeSantis. All things considered, it remains unclear to what extent their revelations can be taken at face value.

The new claims may be another insinuation and discrediting campaign since CNN is also chiming in with a report of its own.

CNN is citing a source close to Trump, who alleges POTUS 45 keeps changing his mind about announcing officially his candidacy.

According to the source, Trump’s aides keep getting told every morning that he “will announce imminently.” However, by the time the afternoon comes, the former president then changes his mind.

CNN, though, also quoted another source “close to Trump” as revealing that lately, he sounds far “more committed” to making his 2024 presidential candidacy official in a hurry.
