Trump Accused of Admitting to Losing the 2020 Election

Nearly two years later, debates about the 2020 presidential election remain very much alive and well. A lot of this is connected to the work of the congressional committee overseeing the events that took place on January 6, 2021.

Democrats have claimed anyone who doesn’t accept that Joe Biden won fairly and squarely in 2020 is a “danger to democracy.”

Meanwhile, the January 6 committee is claiming Trump spread false news about the election, causing the riots that happened at the Capitol.

Many Americans, however, don’t trust the January 6 committee. It’s largely viewed as a partisan tool being weaponized against Trump and a potential Trump 2024 campaign.

However, a new staffer who worked under the Trump administration is now accusing the former president of admitting that Biden won 2020, per Yahoo News.

A New Bombshell From Trump’s Former Strategic Communications Director

Alyssa Farah Griffin, during an interview with CNN, claimed Trump was very much aware that he didn’t win the 2020 presidential election.

Griffin’s claim is that while Trump was watching Biden on TV, he abruptly asked whether or not people could believe that he truly “lost” to Biden.

Griffin worked not just as the Trump administration’s strategic communications director, but also as a personal assistant to the former president.

In additional comments to CNN, Griffin predicted the January 6 committee will have a hard time proving that Trump was aware he didn’t win 2020 and therefore tried to overturn it.

She also expressed that Trump allegedly claiming he lost the election likely isn’t going to cause him to face legal problems.

However, Griffin expressed her view that what she’s saying will help Americans understand Trump knew he didn’t win, yet refused to help facilitate a peaceful power transfer.

Reactions From the Public

Griffin’s claims on CNN have been cited by people who believe Trump should go to jail. Some folks are now questioning what all the January 6 committee is doing in light of what the former Trump aide has to say.

At this time, the work of the January 6 committee is far from over. It remains unknown whether or not the committee will respond in any direct way to Griffin’s statements.

Nevertheless, her remarks to CNN are certainly making the rounds on social media with everyday Americans sharing their views. Some people believe her; others don’t trust her at all.

Certain folks have also suggested Griffin could very well have an agenda of her own, all things considered. At this time, it remains to be seen what total effect her claims about Trump will have.
